What SlipMind is
SlipMind is an expense memory and record-keeping tool for self-employed people. It helps you capture, categorise, and organise business expenses. It is not accounting software, tax advice, or a tax filing service. It does not submit anything to HMRC on your behalf.
Your account
You must be at least 18 years old to use SlipMind. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. One account per person. You may not share account access.
Your data
You own your data. We store it on your behalf to provide the service. You can export your data at any time using the export feature. You can delete your account and data by contacting us at hello@slipmind.co.uk. For full details of how we handle your personal data, see our Privacy Policy.
What SlipMind does and does not do
SlipMind helps you organise expense records. It uses AI to extract details from receipt images, but extraction may be inaccurate. You are responsible for verifying that all amounts, dates, categories, and other details are correct before using them for any tax or accounting purpose. SlipMind does not provide tax advice, legal advice, or accounting services. Always consult a qualified accountant for tax-related decisions.
Pricing and payment
SlipMind is a paid subscription service. The current price is displayed on the pricing section of this website. Payments are processed by Stripe. You can cancel your subscription at any time. If you cancel, you retain read-only access to your existing data but cannot add new entries.
Your right to cancel
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have a statutory right to cancel your subscription within 14 days of purchase without giving a reason (the "cooling-off period"). If you request and begin using the service during this period, you may be charged for the portion of the service already provided.
To exercise this right, or if you are simply unhappy with SlipMind, contact us within 14 days of your first payment at hello@slipmind.co.uk and we will issue a full refund. After 14 days, we do not offer refunds for partially used subscription periods, but you can cancel at any time to prevent future charges.
Availability
We aim to keep SlipMind available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We are not liable for any loss caused by downtime, data loss, or service interruptions. We recommend keeping your own copies of important records.
Acceptable use
You may not use SlipMind for illegal purposes, to store content unrelated to business expenses, to attempt to access other users' data, or to overload the service with automated requests.
Limitation of liability
SlipMind is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Complaints and alternative dispute resolution
If you have a complaint, please contact us first at hello@slipmind.co.uk. We will aim to resolve it within 14 days. If we cannot resolve your complaint, you may seek resolution through alternative dispute resolution (ADR). We are not currently enrolled with a specific ADR scheme, but the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform is available for EU-based customers.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of SlipMind after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
